Two more Velconz directors

02-11-2007 | webmaster

The two PGG Wrightson appointees of the proposed new velvet selling venture Velconz will be company executives: national velvet manager Tony Cochrane and district manager for Canterbury/West Coast Conrad Wilkshire.

They join Stuart Nattrass and Keith Neylon, the two experienced directors appointed by the velvet producers' group Velconz Holdings Limited.

The four met early last week to start discussions about appointing an independent director and processes for informing farmers about the new business, which is to be a 50/50 joint venture between PGG Wrightson and VHL. The Velconz directors are now considering names for a suitable independent director to complete the Velconz board, with each side having the right of veto.
