Velconz Is A Go

Velconz Working Group chair Ponty von Dadelszen has confirmed to TDF that the group has reached agreement with pool operator PGG Wrightson for the creation of a velvet marketing organisation.
“Velconz is a go,” he says. It has been a long and protracted process, he concedes.
A press statement later this week will announce the directors of Velconz Holdings Limited (VHL), which will be owned by farmers, and of the limited liability company, which will be jointly owned by VHL and PGG Wrightson. It will be the directors’ job to sell the new structure to velvet producers before the new selling season starts.
